From Abu Dhabi to Dubai, UAE - A New Start
This month, I moved to Dubai since I got a new opportunity. Living in this country means accumulating a lot of things and personal belongings. It's difficult to move to another place and that's where the shifting services come in. Many of my friends and relatives are curious about how the shifting of stuff moved from one place to another. So with this content. I am sharing with you how I was able to shift all my stuff from Abu Dhabi to Dubai.
Living alone, means I have to pack all of my stuff by myself. And I have to prepare at least 4 days to prepare and pack everything.
moving box from IKEA |
I bought moving boxes from Ikea, which cost me around 10 dirhams or almost 3 USD. I don't usually buy moving boxes, and I used to pack them with disposable plastics, as they were easy to fold right after use. But since I am moving to Dubai, using a moving box is very helpful at this point.

A friend referred me to a moving service. It happened to be that a colleague of mine shifted to Dubai as well and we managed to negotiate with the mover to get some discounts. So renting a mover charged us about 136 USD or 500 dirhams. Usually, some movers will be charged around 300 to 400 USD per customer.
It took us around 2 hours to reach our destination since the mover had to drop first my colleague and then it was my turn. I think it was a big mistake to move at night as we're not expecting that traffic during rush hour at night is terrible adding that Diwali is being celebrated on the day of our moving that leads to night rush.
I reached my new accommodation by 10 PM. And I had to clean and set up everything all at once.
It was a very tiring day.
The Next day, I went to Al Seef and took some pictures.
I am looking forward to a new beginning in Dubai though I miss my friends and the things that I used to do in Abu Dhabi, the change is always inevitable.
Once again, thanks for reading my content and I'll see you again on my next content.
